Dr. Tracey C. Didinger is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine who treats a wide variety of sports, knee, and shoulder conditions. Dr. Didinger has specialized training in knee and shoulder arthroscopy, shoulder replacement surgery, shoulder instability surgery, patella instability surgery, and cartilage restoration surgery. She has done extensive research regarding MPFL reconstruction, as well as, the use of latarjet for shoulder instability in epileptic patients.
Dr. Didinger was born and raised in Los Angeles and, while attending Harvard Westlake High School, she was a member and lettered for four years on the water polo, swim, and golf teams. Dr. Didinger graduated Phi Beta Kappa from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of science in Human Biology, with a minor in Chemistry and a second minor in Exercise and Sports Science. She then earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia where she graduated Cum Laude.
While in college, medical school, and residency, Dr. Didinger was a Los Angeles County Ocean Lifeguard for 14 years. During that time, she was also an instructor for the summer Junior Lifeguard program, a member of the United States Surf Lifesaving National team, and represented the USA in numerous international competitions. Dr. Didinger won numerous National Championships in Surf Racing and, as she entered medical school, became the overall top female competitor in the United States.
Following medical school, Dr. Didinger completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the University of Colorado Boulder. While in fellowship, Dr. Didinger served as assistant team physician for the NHL Colorado Avalanche, University of Colorado Athletics, and Denver University Athletics.
After completing her fellowship, Dr. Didinger returned to Southern California with her family to begin practicing. Dr. Didinger is bilingual in Spanish and is passionate about providing individualized care to her patients to help them reach their personal goals.
